Description

The Iowa Hill Community Cemetery is located on Banjo Hill, on the Iowa Hill Road just east of Iowa Hill, in Placer County, California.  It currently consists of two cemeteries:  the Protestant/Masonic/I.O.O.F. Cemetery on the north side of the road and the Catholic Cemetery on the south side.  The former Chinese Cemetery, located just east of the Protestant Cemetery, is no longer active and most burials were removed and re-interred long ago.  There is also a "virtual" cemetery on Find a Grave for people known to be buried in the Iowa Hill area but not specifically where.
