The Iowa Hill Community Cemetery (IHCC) is located on property owned by the Bureau of Land Management. The IHCC allocates burial sites on the property, keeps it clean, maintains the kiosk, etc.
Annual cleanup project: Every Spring the community gathers to rake leaves, pull weeds, and otherwise clean up the two cemetery locations. All are welcome! Bring rakes, loppers, clippers, gloves, water, food, and sunscreen.
Funding: The Iowa Hill Community Cemetery is funded solely by donations. The money is used for maintenance of the kiosk, cemetery maps and other displays, printing of brochures, defraying burial costs for those with limited incomes, repair/replacement of historic tombstones, placement of VA markers for veterans, etc.
The Iowa Hill Community Cemetery, Inc. is a 501(c)(13) charitable organization.
